Hey guys. Have any of you ever had a bad experience with these guys. I really don't want to complain but I've been going round and round with them and I hope someone here can help.

I ordered a tranny cooler on 2/13 and somewhere on their website I saw that orders are usually shipped in 2-3 days.

02/21/05
Well I waited until today to ask if they had any form of tracking info because I had not received any. The reply was that it had already shipped but no tracking was available because it shipped directly from factory and they would get me that info.

02/23/05
I waited 2 days and asked again only to be told the following day that it had been discontinued. I was offered an refund or an upgrade. After a couple of emails that day (2/24) I agreed to the upgrade.

02/25/05
I received an email today stating that it was on its way - I swear that he said 2nd day but anyway I waited.

03/01/05
Tuesday, two business days later, I inquire again about a tracking number. I was given a FedEx tracking number of 046099240696519 and was told that the expected delivery was that day. This is where the fun begins.

I goto www.fedex.com and type in the tracking number only to see that the destination is SAN DIEGO not Premont, TX. There is a San Diego, TX about 35 miles away so I call FedEx and enter the number in an automated system only to be told the destination is SAN DIEGO and the zip code as 92107 making it San Diego, CA (I assume).

03/02/05
I email back stating that wasn't my package and request my money be refunded (1st time). He replies that he sees that it is coming to me at Premont, TX (zip 78375) and pastes info from FedEx's site.

I reply that I don't see that as being the case and send a print screen of the website info showing SAN DIEGO and telling him about being informed on the phone of the zip code of 92107 and request my money again (2nd time).

His reply was that he doesn't know what I'm looking at because he stills sees it as coming to me and he says he had a couple of friends try the tracking number and they also see it as coming to Premont, TX.

03/03/05
Receive email telling me it's in Fort Worth according to FedEx website. I think OK, it's in Texas it must be coming to me. I look it up myself and I do see that it's in Ft. Worth BUT I still see SAN DIEGO as the destination. I called FedEx and spoke to a representative who asked for the tracking number so she can tell me what THEY (FedEx) show. Sure enough, they tell me what I see, SAN DIEGO and a zip of 92107. She tells me to see where it goes from there.

03/04/05
Well I checked today and guess what........it's in AZ. Apparently on it's way to San Diego, CA. I email MidWestSHO back and basically said "I told you so".

03/05/05
Response was, "I don't know what the issue is". He stills sees the correct information. The issue is that I think I was right the whole time about the destination. this is where I hope to get some help in this matter.

Can someone type in the tracking number and tell me what you see as the delivery location? Once again the number is 046099240696519.

Thanks for letting me vent my frustration but I am sick and tired of the run around I've been getting.

Roy, I apologize if you think we're giving you the runaround. Unfortunately we are bound by our suppliers. We drop ship the coolers directly from the manufacturer who told us that the cooler in question was discontinued. Unfortunately for us we didn't find this out until you contacted me asking where the cooler was.

I thought a good act of contrition would be to send you an even larger cooler plus 2nd day air shipping on our dime. Unfortunately this is where the bad situation seems to have gotten worse as the shipping issues ensued. Please don't think I'm giving you the runaround. The only reason I was frustrated is because in your emails it seemed as if you wanted to fight with me when all I was trying to do was help you. Understand that we ship upwards of 100 packages a week and deal with Fed ex/ UPS every day. As such it was indeed odd that you and I were both seeing different information. Again, here is the picture (perhaps someone can confirm that it's not doctored and those that know my paint skills wouldn't have to question that anyhow! :) ) as pulled from Fed Ex's site.

I'm sorry this got dragged on this long and can completely understand your frustration. We've responded to all your emails almost immediately so if there is anything additional I can do you know where to get me.

Just out of curiosity I tracked the number myself. It does show the destination as being Premont, TX, home delivery in service type. Shipped on the 28th of Feb. and an estimated delivery date of Mar. 8th.

What I find interesting is that the package left Anaheim, CA on the 28th, traveled to Los Angeles then to Fort Worth, TX on the 2nd of March. From there it goes to Phoenix, AX and back to San Diego, CA as of Mar 5th.

What I'm think happened is that perhaps an error was made when the factory drop shipped the item. Perhaps they put in the correct address, city and state but the wrong zip code which would later lead Fed Ex employees to re-route the package to San Diego, CA. It could be also that FedEx employee read the zip code wrong. It's very difficult to determine this because none of us, including Mikey, have access to the shipper's records.

Regardless, I don't think that Mikey has much control over the situation because he's not the one that shipped the item out. If you think about it, he's just as much at the mercy of the shipper and Fed Ex as you are. I'm sure he feels just as let down as you do because it's frustrating when crap like this happens and there's very little that you can do to stop things. Shipping was part of my responsibility at my old employer so I know first hand how sometimes things like this just happen. It doesn't make it any less aggravating though.
Hang in there. I know that Mike didn't intend on things going sour for your purchase.

I really don't understand why I see differently. I just checked it right now - Monday morning - and this is what I see. It arrived in San Diego, CA (HD) which I've been told means Home Delivery.

This is just TOO weird. Here is a screenshot of my computer. It shows up like this on my two computers at home and two here in the office.

I called FedEx again this morning and they confirmed that they show SAN DIEGO. Bizzy, you were right about the address saying TX but the zip showing CA.

Still doesn't explain why we are getting two different screenshots. I did notice your URL being different than mine though.

I ran into some problems with fed ex last week. I like to ship with the P.O whenever possible. Never had anything lost or broken with them . First time is shipped UPS a swaybar seemed to find its way out of the box :nut:
Sometimes it is hard getting parts out on time when you have to go through other suppliers. Don't worry Mike will take care of you :thumb: He is a very reputable business man.

Yeah, but why did I see a different city to begin with and if it were a cached screen I was seeing, why was the daily scans up to date as everyone elses?

It turns out it was San Diego the whole time. It arrived there on 03/05 and has yet to arrive here in TX two weeks later.

I entered the tracking number, and I got the TX destination, however with a delivery date of March 16th. After the problems I had with FedEx (losing over $1000 of merchandise), I swore never to use them again.

I too saw a TX delivery location too for several days. I called yesterday because there hadn't been any scans since 03/11. I was told it was in Phoenix, they could see that even though it wasn't showing up on the web. I asked if the 03/16 date was still a realistic delivery date and was told YES.

I log on this morning and it's back to the same old crap, a delivery location of SAN DIEGO. The latest scan was at 4;23am on 03/16 in Los Angeles. I guess I shouldn't expect a delivery today as shown.

How do you post screen shots? I have always wondered that.

As bad of a rep as UPS has, I have always used them and almost never had a problem, or at least never had one to this extreme.

Mike, I'm on the phone w/FedEx as I type this. I am speaking with John George from FedEx trace. He has informed me that the package still has the WRONG zip code on it. It has never been changed as you told me over a week ago.

The zip code showing is 92107 for San Diego, CA and he states that the notes on that package have never shown a TX address.

We'll call again for you Roy. Did you last call indicate that it was indeed the correct area code? We changed this early last week to my recollection.

How many Fed Ex employees does it take to...
