The back ones were the problem. The clips are almost too long. Took them off and dremeled them down a mili. One is perfect and the other has a slight drag. I'm going to drive on of for a few days and if the rotor top doesn't wear it down, I'll pop it off and hot it with the dremel again.

my guy actually didn't like the way the clips worked so tapped them to the caliphers. at first wasn't thrilled, but painted the screws to match the color of the colors, so now look fine & they are not going to go anyplace that's for sure.

Well I talked to mgp and they actually use shorter clips now, as the length is an issue. He is also sending me those clips as well.

Once I receive them I'll swap them out and post up.

Make sure your buddy uses like 2o lbs tape of more. I'd be reluctant myself just because my luck blows sometimes.

received shorter clips and they still drag. These covers are ********, and I hope no one else has the PITA I am having. I'm going to send these back, unless someone wants to buy them. I took of the rear and will take off the fronts when I can buy more time.

Fronts are fine. Its the rears that are the problem.

Someone told me these reduce cooling on the brakes, is this true? I wanted to get the red ones for my SHO but wasn't sure after I was told they reduce cooling..

Those are awesome looking... I notice the guy above us having trouble installing, was installation an issue for you?

joe:
maybe because mine was a '10, but i don't think it was an issue. i had the shop i go to do them as was changing the rotors & pads at the same time. mgp included some 1/4" spacers & didn't have to use them. but my guy was worried about them staying on, so without asking me tapped them to caliphers. luckily was able to match the red color with some touchup paint & painted the heads of the screws, so turned out not to be a big deal.

Sent them back. Tried everything...short clips, long clips, and then they are telling me to raise the caliper...**** that. Done with those pieces of shit. And on top of that, they started to show wear after less than 30 day. Nothing but headaches.

I got modified clips from the manufacturer but have not had a chance to install. In fact I wont get a chance I traded for a 2014 SHO. A separate story in another thread though.

I followed their advise and raised the front calipers and they fit perfectly.
I bought my car June 1 and have had the caliper covers since the second week I owned the car.

Still in holding pattern I traded in the SEL and need to contact MGP to see if the mounting is the same for SHO.

My car is a 2015 SEL with the optional 20" wheels and MGP advised me to also use the spacers which they sent me free of charge. I would post a picture of them mounted if I figure out how.

Thanks,
I played around with this thing for a while but "Direct" is the one option I didn't try.

The 19 and 20" for SEL maybe the same. I am wondering if the spacing brackets and entire set up is the same not only for 19" and 20" but for SEL and SHO.
