Meet/BBQ/bonfire at my place this Sat?

Josh looks to be buying a new truck not too far from my place outside Mt. Pleasant, so he'll be in town (hopefully with a chase driver to get his Mustang back home... if he can find someone willing to drive a 2012 5.0 that runs 12's in the 1/4). The weather looks to be AWESOME, I have a fresh propane tank for the grill, I've got my fire pit with a bunch of wood to burn, I've got lake access for anyone who wants to go for a dip, I've got plenty of room for tents to camp out, or there's a spare room and plenty of space to crash out inside.

Anyone up for some hanging out this Saturday? Maybe I'll even set up the volleyball net I'm just over an hour north/northeast of Grand Rapids or 2.5 hours from Detroit. Time for some summer time fun!

For everyone else, Chris's place is a great place to hang out with friends, either outside, inside or in the 'shop.' Chris is always an awesome host and fun times will be had by all in attendance

I may try to make it. Need to get a PS pump replaced between now and then. That would be a good 3.5 hour trip for me. I'd like to see some friendly faces. Need to get the blue 94 out and stretch her legs a bit.

Cool idea, real nice offer. It's a shame, as I am up that way (Mecosta; Horsehead Lake/Pretty Lake) at least one weekend a month in the summer. This weekend ,however, Father's day weekend, does not work. Have fun and drink a beer for me.

So, Tom tells me he can't make Saturday evening now. We were thinking maybe have the meet Friday night, I ride up with him in his SHO and pick up the truck Saturday morning?

Can't do a meet Friday eve, but if you and Tom wanted to be up Fri evening that's no prob. There's plenty of wood for a fire Friday, have the meet/bbq Saturday afternoon, then another fire sat eve. for anyone who wanted to stay longer.

**EDIT** I should say that I won't turn away anyone who wants to show up Friday eve, but I won't be home from work until 5 and I still have some things to get done before Saturday.

My initial plan was to leave home and be up at Chris's by or before noon. I plan on hangin' out for a little while.

I will need to at least keep tabs on the NASCAR Nationwide race at MIS... we're sponsoring a driver and there's a chance he might actually do well.

So, just Ron & Mike for Sat? Sounds like it might be a bit of a wash and Josh isn't sure yet about when he'll be up here. Not that you two aren't cool! I'd just hate for you guys to drive 2-4 hours just to have some burnt Chris burgers

The price I pay for living in the boonies. Maybe people will have a bit more free time later in the year, and admittedly with a bit more notice from me.

I won't officially say meet cancelled, but I totally understand you guys not wanting to make such a long trip.

I want to say "Thank you" to Chris for the opening up of his house and being so open to be hospitable, but I am not going to be able to make it either. I am in the midst of a PS pump swap on the car I was planning on driving up. Plus a million and 1 other things to do.

Sorry Chris, I would love to have one of your burnt burgers, but maybe some other time.
