Hello all. I'm supposed to introduce myself. I'm from Ohio, grew up in a racing family but never had a car that ......well I've owned a Saturn SC1, bikes, and and trucks. In Texas everyone has a truck. I totaled my gorgeous perfectly cared for Durango Crew with a Hemi in October. Finally settled on a 2014 Lincoln MKS white titanium never will match color again outside, black inside.

Mods:
So far, all I've done was put in a K&N air filter, swap the MAP for a 3 Bar (AS410 because I'm cheap AF) and got the a0 tune from Gearhead. I'm lucky, they're actually only a few hours drive away. I have plugs and black/gloss plastidip. I intended to this and black out the wheels/rear emblems tonight.... running out of time though.

Plan for build:

WMI (in process)
I'm about to purchase the stage 2 water/meth lot from Snow Performance (used) kit from a guy online. Pretty good price. I've heard some different arguments on the snow/aem/devils own nozzle. I am looking to install and fab anything I need myself....not sure where I'm gonna put the nozzle yet. Any suggestions are welcome.

Exhaust cutouts
The stock exhaust is SO restrictive *** I don't / can't afford to do it all right now... althoguh creeping on ebay I've found these:

on ebay... is it just me - or do some of these look like they might flow well gutted and modified?

Anyways, I like that the car is so quiet. I need to NOT attract attention. I'd also like to flip a switch and dump the exhaust straight out of the turbos.

Whiteline rear sway bar, and maybe some torque mounts.
Lets be real, under acceleration these cars get a lil freekin squirly.

Upgraded Turbos:
The Stage 3 Super Core deal

1.5k .... get it and be done. I don't mind spending a day underneath the car.

Water to air intercooler.

The GH intercooler is like 900$. You can build a system from siliconeintakes.com for half that. I'd really like to give that a go... sort of an engineering challenge to myself. but other stuff first.

Don't wanna dump a bunch of money into it...but for 2-2.5k ^ I think that's a decent plan?

Just curious .... I oscillate between grandma, and WOT better pull or I might die cuz I just put myself in a tight spot. I'm averaging liek 16mpg.... running almost exclusively on 93. Doesn't that sound a little light to yall?

Not really. I had a 2013 MKS EcoBoost without a tune. Most of my driving was in town, to and from work, but I did like to enjoy driving it. A year ago I traded the MKS in on a Dodge Charger Daytona 392 and I'm actually averaging slightly better fuel economy in the Charger (typically around 15 mpg) than in the MKS. On the highway the Charger gets about 2-3 mpg less than the MKS.

I'm not sure how gently someone would need to drive an EcoBoost to realize the "Eco" part. FWIW, I also previously had a 2011 SHO PP with a tune, 3 Bar MAP, and K&N filter and it only got slightly better fuel economy than my MKS. I suspect that was mostly due to being a bit lighter.

I agree the extra comforts and sound proofing will make it heavier.

I like the plan, i considered the exhaust dumps too, maybe in the future when I get serious about the cars performance on the track, for now I like the quiet sleeper.

As for mileage I have a 13 SHO and I average about 18pmg with a nice balance of dead inside commuter and angry teenager over a 60 mile commute half city half country, my car is a nonPP with the long legs, I know the PPs had lower gearing and I believe there was a conversation about the MKS being somewhere in the middle gear wise, between the lower gear and extra lincoln goodies I'd imagine youre right where youre supposed to be. during my honeymoon phase I decided to treat the car to 2 days of steady license test driving and got up to 20mpg, you could do the same just to see what kind of mileage its capable of, but between weight, awd, and gearing I dont think youll be too impressed with the fuel mileage

16 MPG is a little light but given the extra luxury weight probably not far off. I average 17 on E30 and 18 on 93 with probably 75% spirited driving.

Go for the AD mounts. That mod is second only to the tune.

Just run open downpipes till you can afford a cat back. Its not that loud aside from cold start. Turbos are mufflers
