well I lost at the track to a supercharged 05 cts v by 1.5 cars. Hope downpipes will make that up. Anybody running unleashed downpipes?

1/8 mile track. He only got me by 1.5 cars and typically runs 8.20sNo chance in **** against him 1/4 mile.his midrange was unimpressive. So what I'm asking is can I hope to gain 2 tenths from the downpipes.Downpipes is not going to make up that big of a difference! Maybe that with full exhaust and upgraded turbos & meth then you'll probably tie or maybe edge out that CTS.

+1 here. Look at the trap speed of the OP vs other slips, 82 mph vs 85 mph. Clearly his car isn't running as hard as the other vehicles as those speeds should be much closer if his car was running as hard as the others.Yo Tony, my 60 is not quite as good as yours but my 1/8 is better. My car is a Lincoln MKS which is even a bit heavier than your SHO. Have you sent any logs to Torrie so he can tweak your tune? I think there is more potential with your tune. My tune is from Livernois but I know there are some quick Torrie tuned SHOs after some data logging.
Torrie is quite familiar with tuning for an e/85 mix too...that little mix could be worth a couple tenths.
I run sub 8 second 1/8 miles all the time...I definitely think it's in there

My guess would be...that our systems aren't designed for the corrosive attributes that come with e/85 and the inconsistent supplies of it at the stations (varying levels).SHOnUUp4,
Since you brought up that E85 mix last year I have been doing it every fill.
But I was unaware Torrie can tune for that! I know Livernois is against the use of a drop of E85 but my car runs fantastic with it!!!
Any idea why they don't advise this?
I'm going to do some data logging next week and send it to Torrie, and with this knowledge I guess I should mention the fuel blend too.
Let's hope for some solid results!
