Anyone running 19's. Post pics please.

I'm interested in some rims that unfortunatly don't have the correct bolt pattern in an 18" but I can get them in a 19"

Anyone know if a 19X8.5 5X108 with a +45mm offset will fit?

I know this is a two-month-old post, but for anyone wanting to know about a specific wheel width and offset, you can use this calculator to find the clearance differences:

For instance, if stock is 6" width, 42mm offset, an 8.5" wide wheel with a 45mm offset will have... 35mm less inner clearance and stick out 29mm more than stock. So if you want to know if they will fit, measure the strut clearance on your stock rims, and if it's less than 35mm plus your tire's overhang distance, they won't fit. (Hint: they probably won't fit.)

They're not going to rub, but those tires are way too wide for a 6" wide slicer. So yes they'll fit, but no they're not ideal.

Lots of people run 225's, myself included. I wouldn't say they're too wide. However, they are taller than a stock tire. Your speedo (and consequently, your odometer) will read low with the 60 series sidewall.

Just because people do it doesn't mean it's ideal. 225 belongs on 7" wide wheels, it IS way wide for for any 6" wide wheels.

Just FYI, I had 225/60/16 tires on slicers for a short time, the thing was like a balloon. No tire or wheel manufacturer or reseller will recommend 225 tires on 6" wide wheels.

I think some people have had problems with 225/60/16s. 215/60 or 225/55 are better fits.

The specs on the P225/55VR16 General Exclaim UHP on my 91' SHO state that the rim width range for the tire is 6"-7" with measured rim width at 7". Here is a link to access the spec information on Tire Rack's site.

I've been running the 225/55 tires on my SHO since 2005 and had nothing but excellent results.

that calculates to about 26.5" on a 16" wheel. it's about .4 taller than stock, a mere .2" radius increase. Getting close to the spring perch, but it should fit. A 205 width is almost ideal on a 6" wide wheel.

Depends on what year car you have. Gen 2, I assume it would work alright, 245/50/17 is kinda wide and tall. A 225/50/17 is a much better size choice. If you want 245s, a 245/45/17 might be better (and probably more common).

You probably want a Mach 1 Mustang chin spoiler.

I run 235/45r17. 245's will fit on a 7.5" rim, but do you have a specific reason for wanting that wide of a tire?
My suspension is uncut intax/koni's. The car is lightened some, so it sits a little higher than a full weight car would.

no particular reason other than I think that the profile on the 245 looks better on the sho than the 225 or 235, that and the extra centimeter of width gives you a boost in cornering grip, not much, but still a boost

245 is right at the limit of 7.5" rim. There is alot of science to getting the best performance out of a tire. Wider isn't always better.....an example would be that a wider tire on skinnier rim with a taller sidewall can increase rollover while cornering.

I am not saying "Don't do it!!". There are alot of people that have tracked 245 tires on 7.5" rims with great success. All I am saying is that there are alot of factors to be weighed.

If you must get 245's, go with a 45 aspect ratio. 245/50 is less common and may hit the strut. Personally, I would go 225/50 or 235/45 on a 7.5" wheel.

absolutely true true there, as far as the math I've done, with the 245/50, the extra rollover is negligible since the body roll in a sho is your main problem in corners.

As for the rubbing, that is the reason I posted on here before buying since I can't find a dimensional of the wheel well for my life to run numbers on tire sizes myself. For a 235 I was considering this:

the only issue I have with going for a tire different from the 245/50 is that the wheels on the stock sho already struggle to fill the whole wheel well in front, and going with a 245/45 or a 235/45 will shorten the stock profile by .5 inches...

If you're trying eliminate wheel gap, get yourself some lowering springs. Taller tires could cause rubbing issues, will effectively raise your ride height, and will throw your speedo off.
