Not to go too OT with all the talk of exotic wheels, but two questions:

I'd like to swap out my slicers ('92 SHO) for some aftermarket 16X7 wheels. So, will 215X16 60s work on a seven inch wheel? I just bought some BFG Traction T/As - V-rated, and don't want to give up on the investment.

Any favorite designs among you SHO fanatics?

I have a 91 with stock suspension. I am planning on lowering it with the Ground Control Coilover kit that Sho Source sells. I need to go with a 17" wheel for the Stage III 13" brake kit. This SHO will be on the track from time to time. I am looking at 17x8 wheels with an offset of 35 wrapped with 245/45/17 tires.

What do you guys think? Will this setup work with out any issues. I don't want to spend $1500.00 and then have issues after I do the suspension and brake upgrade.

GEN 3 rims on Gen 2??

I've looked thru the thread and have not found an answer.
Can I use the 5 spoke rims from a 96 SHO on My 93?

I know that the 96 rims are 16 x 6.5 and the stock 93 'slicers' are 16 x 6.
I like the look of the stock 96 rims and need to replace 2 of my rims due to bent rim issues. I can get a good deal on 4 stock 5 spoke rims from a 96.
Thanks for your input and sorry if the info is here already I just couldn't figure out how to find it.

Yes, Gen III SHO wheels fit Gen II SHO's.

17x7 with a 45mm offset is not going to work on a Gen III is it.

It should work..

I had a set of 17.7s with a 35mm offset, they of course worked.. .

now I have 19x7.5" wide wheel with a 42mm offset and they still clear the strut. Your offset will bring the wheel 3mm closer, but the width will take it 12.7mm away, so you'll still theoretically have 10mm more then mine.

Here's the clearance on mine now..

damn thats close... if that's the set on your green 93 that looks great!

them things are huge but they fill the wheel well nicely.

i have some T bird slicers on my 91 plus right now but would definitely like to get some bigger wheels when i do the 96 brake upgrade.

anyone have suggestions for ford lincoln or mercury wheels that i could get that will fit? i've heard that some Jaguar 17s and 18s will bolt in without clearance issues, but i'd rather have machined wheels than chrome or polished.

I use to have the 17x7 Team Dynamics PR2 wheels that were 17x7 with 45mm offset on my gen 2 no issues, but i always felt like they would have looked better with a 40mm offset, you could always get a small 2-3mm spacer made if it ends up rubbing the strut.

Hi There,
I'm looking at installing the MSW Type 16 (Black w/ Red Stripe) onto my red '95 ATX in the 17" size (It comes in 16" but with a different bolt pattern; so have to go with the 16") and mount on 225/50ZR17 Kumho Ecsta ASX's. The wheel is 17 x 8" w/ a +38mm Offset. Backspacing is 6.02" (Not sure what that means)
Here is the link to the wheel product info on Tire Rack's page:
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=W19146501B&wheelMake=MSW&wheelModel=Type+16&wheelFinish=Black+w%2FRed+Stripe&showRear=no&autoMake=Ford&autoModel=Taurus+SHO&autoYear=1995&autoModClar=&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand

Let me know please sir, thanks!

Anyone running 19's. Post pics please.

I'm interested in some rims that unfortunatly don't have the correct bolt pattern in an 18" but I can get them in a 19"

Anyone know if a 19X8.5 5X108 with a +45mm offset will fit?

Bullets

Does anyone know if 17 inch Ford Bullet mustang rims will fit on my 1995 SHO. I haven't had the car long and I have a lot to learn about it, I'm more into the Fox Body's but I love this car.

Has anyone ever thought about having machine shop re-drill bolt pattern on rims that they like and wanted to put on their car?
