Don't open it up! The people that assembled that engine were experts at it, don't mess with factory.
Remove spark plugs, squirt automatic transmission fluid into each cylinder, let it sit over night. If you're really good with mechanics, find an oil galley plug and make an adapter to fit an oil pump to the galley. You can then pressurize at 10 to 25 psi oil through the entire engine to pre-**** it and check for cracked front and rear main seals and camshaft seals.
Drain crankcase oil out, send sample to be analyzed with a written note explaing where the oil came from. If it comes back as clean with no high moisture content, re-fill crankcase with thin oil; 0 or 5 weight.
With spark plugs still out, turn over the engine by hand, slowly at first. What you will be feeling for is binding of the camshaft to the towers and binding of the pistons to the cylinder walls. If you feel or hear parts rubbing metal to metal, STOP turning. Then you will have to open it up and basically tear it down and re-assemble. However don't mistake normal pressure required to depress valve springs for friction.
I'm 99.9% sure you wont hear or feel any friction.
That is a great find even though expensive. If you document everything you do with that motor, the car that it goes in will be worth more in my opinion.
And to put everything into perspective, a junkyard Accura TLS 3.2 motor that you know absolutely nothing about will cost 5-7 THOUSAND dollars if it has low miles ( less than 40,000).
Good luck and be careful.
