I think the requirement to have all new posts be approved would add a large workload to the moderation team and posibly discourage new members.
I would rather find a way to stop them from getting through. I am working on how to stop this new type of spam.
The first thing I do every morning when I wake up is delete all the spam posts and ban the thread starters. The criteria that Jordan had set up was weeding out a lot of the spam for quite a while. They are getting wiser with their ways though. On a typical day I delete 6 to 10 posts. You guys haven't been seeing those posts till recently. The forum will need to adapt as the spam does. Are moderators still active on the forum?
On the local Northwest group list, the moderator will ask a simple knowledge question about SHOs before they are can join the group
I didn't mean all new posts, I mean all FIRST posts by a new members.
Thank you!Jordan, can you set up the thread title to reject the letters "http://" because they seem to all be starting the link with that. I don't recall seeing legit threads with a link in the title.
