Hi all Im getting an LMS tune here in the next week or so.. I bought a used kit from someone who sold theirs..
I come with air box, 3bar .. No Thermostat, or plugs.. My question is to get the most out of it should I get a cooler thermostat and plugs? What brand plugs and part #? Is the Tstat really necessary? TIA

I would do the tstat to keep the cooling happy, plugs have to be gapped to .30 so it doesnt have adverse techniques

Motorcraft SP534 or the equivalent NGK...can't remember the part number. On the 2013+ if you have low enough miles I might just re-gap the existing plugs..

+1 on the thermostat.. 160 is what LMS sells... 170 is what Unleashed... Can't go wrong either way...

LOL! Reische is the only 170F thermostat I know of for the 3.5 Ecoboost... You can buy it from Unleashed Tuning...

Honestly... If you are going to be tuned by LMS.. I would order the 160F they sell... Same price I think... And it's what they recommend for their tunes...

My only gripe with the LMS thermostat was the shipping on such a small part was extremely excessive IMO and for half the overall cost, I ended up with the 170 from Stage 3 motorsports: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/RA...-3-5L-EcoBoost-5-Star-RAT-170-Thermostat.html

I'll admit I was in a hurry to round up all the parts and looking back, I should have at least asked if LMS would waive the shipping fee. So far the RAT thermostat has been working great and if I end up adding more mods, I'll probably switch to the 160 from LMS. However, 98% of my driving is HWY and granny mode so 170 is fine for now.

I had a hard time finding the plugs locally, nobody seemed to carry them in stock. I ended up buying them online thru walmart, total for all six with 2nd day shipping was $54. Motorcraft SP534 are the ones you want.
