Ok here is the abbreviated story:

I have had my 93 mtx for about 1.5 months or so and done very little driving in it due to an intermittent fuel pump and less-then-desirable weather to change it in, so it has just been sitting in my driveway since the first week i bought it. today i got out of work a bit early and it was nice dry roads so i desided to take it for a spin if it would start. it started but i desided to not go more then a couple miles from home incase i needed to pull it back with my ranger AGAIN!!! so it started, i am thinking great, lets go! i take it out and let it get warmed up, then start to drive it a bit hard to see what i can get out of it even though the clutch slips some (needs to be replaced). I take the first corner and get some squeeling from the tires, but it was still ripping around the corner and still accellorating. woohoo it has been to long since i have had a car that could corner good like that. i come up to the next light and stop, i get the left arrow so i rip outta there and i get half way around the corner and gun it hard and i started to go straight the more i put the peddle down(but the wheel was still turned)! i am thinking wait a minute! does this have L/S? i have never had a front wheel drive do that unless i was exceeding what the tires could handle, which felt different then this did. so i find a parking lot, stop, rev, dump! holy #$%@! two marks!

1) now, does this definatively mean i have L/S? i have never had a front wheel drive car leave two marks in a burnout.

2) if it does, was this a stock option or aftermarket? is there anyway to tell?

I can not tell you if you have a limited slip for sure. However, I can tell you that is wasn't a stock option.

As far as I know the only real way to tell is to pull the axle and look for the diff pin. Some say you can try manually spinning the tires but I have also heard that this isnt an accurate way to tell if you have an LSD.

But one thing I know, is I doubt someone would sell an SHO without telling you it has an LSD.

that story above is by far the hardest i have driven it. every other time i have driven that car it has been on wet roads so i have not been continually doing burnouts or anything, but i will keep that in mind, thanks.

I agree, while it would be super awesome if the car had an LSD, I doubt it would have one without you knowing. Good luck though!

What you experienced was understeer where the car plows. It's easy to pull a dual wheel burnout with a SHO if both wheels have pretty much equal traction.
