being a new owner of a gen 3 just 2 days ago, i don't know a lot about them. trying to see what lights work and which do not. are the speed control buttons lit or not when dash lights are on. also do the red lenses in the doors light when opened or are they just reflectors?

No the crusie control buttons are not lit. The door lights are lit on the '96s IIRC, but are just reflectors on the other years of Gen 3s.
