Once you install the springs, let them settle for about a week or so if you can. Then go get the new camber bolts installed which the sole purpose is to provide a proper alignment. So yes, camber bolts and alignment at same time.

How much are springs going to settle in 1 week? I still have my H&R springs and camber bolts sitting in box. Just waiting for savings to come together for this and tune.

Well, depends on much you drive. Maybe 2 weeks? I live in a larger city with sh1ty potholes, bumps, speed-bumps, and I had a lot of driving the week after I installed mine - so I know mine had time to get some abuse and settle.

The deciding factor is a shops equipment. Some low/lowers cars just can't be driven on certain alignment racks. At the end of the day, this is one mod that should not deter work.

I have the lifetime alignment on the SHO from Firestone. No issues being lowered

Just a point of information Firestone will not install after market parts as part of the Firestone policy. So i went to get my car alined today with camber bolts in hand , only to be told can't install aftermarket parts. So i went home and did the bolt install (1 hour) and brought it back to Firestone. Now waiting for it to be finished(Hopefully)without issue.

Just got back from Firestone:mad: got the alignment done , but they say they could not get rear camber dead on. left rear came back -2.2 camber and right rear came back -1.7 and tech claims the adjustment is maxed out:mad:. Now has anyone ever experienced this with the new camber bolts installed? Or I'm thinking tech had no idea the rear camber bolt where adjustable by turning them. Thanks

Sounds like the Tech is clueless. I take mine to a local (regional franchise) Jensen Tire and they actually installed the camber bolts and did the alignment perfectly. For some odd reason Techs might not be aware the camber bolt on the SHO/Taurus is located up high or whatever....?

I used the 84130 bolts but found that firestone didn’t know you can flip washers 180 to get a positive camber adjustment. I did explain it to them also. Instead of trying to explain again to firestone I’m taking it to shop that specializes in this.

Smart.... My first and last experience with Firestone was having them only rotate tires on truck. Got home 3/4 mile away and wondered why I had wheel vibration. ALL lugnuts on left rear wheel were on by 2 threads. Considered choking the guy out!:cussing:
