Now that I have your attention, read these 3 posts.

I'm looking to replace / upgrade my shocks / springs. I think I've settled on PP shocks / struts with H&R springs.

I'm having trouble finding the correct part #'s to order. Can someone help me out?

Also, if anyone has this setup or something similar, I'd love your feedback. I understand it'll drop the right height about 1.5" and it'll be slightly stiffer. Hopefully it's not TOO firm or low for daily driving. I'm just tired of the soft / worn out factory suspension.

If anyone with a 2010-2012 PP can post the part #'s from their suspension, I'd be super grateful.

This is what I have at the moment. I believe most are discontinued (replaced with newer parts), but for all I know, the previous owner could have installed suspension for a SE/SEL.

Everything I've found so far in terms of PP Struts are for the 2013+ model. Part #'s:

AST12321 (Front Left)
AST12323 (Front Right)
DG1Z18125F (Rear)

So when I enter my car for compatibility (2012), it says they're not compatible. Has anyone installed them on a 2010 - 2012 model? Do I need to modify anything or purchase additional parts?

Clickbait.

Here are the part numbers I have for reference (2013+):
(FR): DG1Z-18124-X
(FL): DG1Z-18124-Y
Rear: DG1Z-18125-F (x2)
Mounts: DG1Z-18183-B (x2)
Thanks, and sorry for the click bait. I've renamed the thread a couple times as I change directions of my search.

Those are all for the 2013+. Do you have any experience installing them on a 2010 - 2012 SHO?

Front struts are not interchangeable between 2010-12 and 2013-19. The design is completely different.

Rear seem to be interchangeable.

Good point. Every site has the rear listed as incompatible with my car so I'm assuming there's some subtle difference with them too.

Rock Auto shows a few rear shocks as the same for all years.

Hmmm..... What would you do?

Mix and match front / rear shocks (PP rears, OE Spectrum / Monroe / etc front) with H&R springs, or just get a set of coil overs (Godspeed, Megan, BC).

I've never changed the factory suspension, or had to replace the stock suspension, on any car I've ever owned. It's sorta uncharted territory for me but I plan to daily drive this car at least a few more years. Plus the wife is fussing about replacing the suspension on her Explorer and I've got kids coming of driving age, so now is a good time to get my feet wet.

I'm sorta worried if I mix and match shocks somehow I'm going to end up with an uneven ride height. Maybe that's not even possible, lol. If I went with coilovers, Godspeed and Megan are reasonably priced but maybe that speaks of their quality. BC is proud of their coilovers.

I think I've talked myself into the Godspeed MonoSS coilovers for the adjustability. I'll probably set the ride height as high as it'll go and adjust the dampening to my liking. Probably mid level for the rear and forget about it. It'll be nice being able to change the front as needed.

Anyone have good or bad feedback about them? Anything else I should buy while I'm there? I replaced the front lower control arms a year ago.

Sorry for all the indecisive posts and thanks to those who've offered help!

For orders / shipments? Or for recommendations? I'll probably order from Amazon honestly, if I go with the coilovers.

Their lack of actual customer service and idiotic return policy is why I will never use them again. I will use their parts lookup and then order from Amazon. If (when) the part is incorrect, it's super easy to return with Amazon. RA charges you to return a part, even if they damage it or send the wrong part.

Ordered on Amazon! I'll post some before / after pics of the height when they come in.

My kid has a tournament this weekend so it may be 2 weeks before I can put these on. The suspension (pun intended) is killing me.PXL 20251013 180048448PXL 20251013 175859104

Hey guys, I'm about to start installing those coilovers and noticed that the back of my car sits about 5/8" to 7/8" lower than the front.

The front (both sides) sits 29.5" to the ground while the back sits 30-3/8" (left) and 30-1/8" (right). The difference in the back could be because of the subwoofer in the right side of the trunk. I'll account for that with the coilovers.

But my question...the front and back should be level, right?

Quick update....I've been working on these on and off for about a week and a half. The front is installed and I think I have them adjusted to my liking. I finished the rear passenger last night and I hope to finish the rear driver tonight or tomorrow. While I worked on them, I've done a lot of other things too:

New front brakes (had to replace a stuck pin/boot)
Coolant drain / fill
Transmission drain / fill (funny story - I accidentally pulled the cv axle out which led to this one)
Air filter clean (why not? it's already out for the tranny fluid)
PTU fluid replace
And I'll eventually replace the RDU fluid as well

So, the installation of these entry/mid level coilovers.... I can't say how great the quality is yet as I haven't driven the car with them and I have no prior experience with coilovers, hence why it's taking so long. I think, overall they're good quality, but Godspeed needs to do a better job of checking their parts / packaging and providing some better instructions.

The first issue I had was with the Godspeed sway bar links that came with the kit. They simply wouldn't fit.

The rod was too short to fit through the hole on the coilovers and bolt them on. So I bought a nice set of Maxpeedingrods, which came with extra center sections for more adjustability and have longer rods so I can securely bolt them on. They're technically for a BMW, but I read many comments and people use them for many different cars. It did take some time to get them adjusted properly where I can turn all the way left or right without them rubbing as they're thicker than stock.

57041330c63ca5b14f38c7466562165b

Now onto the rear divorced spring/coil. The old ones were much easier to take off and they went on much faster. The issue I had with these were that the factory top hat doesn't fit the threads of the shock.

A8baccd33799b661a95233ce5b22f9d1

768f1ec19462429739f4b8113b24ae10

According to Godspeed there should have been M12 1.25 nuts in the box that I didn't receive and I'm supposed to separate the rubber from the factory top hat and use that with a washer and nut. Luckily I had the Godspeed adjustable sway bar links that I can't use and the nuts are a direct fit. So, with the factory rubber top underneath the car, the factory rubber top hat inside the car, a large washer, and nut, it's well secured.

It took a little time / research to figure out how to adjust the divorced setup. Essentially I adjusted the plate on the spring to what I guessed would be the right height, jacked it up until it held firm, then adjusted the collar on the shock until it felt snug. Then I dropped my jack and lowered it back down until I could wiggle the shock by hand. I then adjusted the shock again until it no longer moved. Then I preloaded the shock by jacking it back up slightly, and adjusting the shock once more to that level.

I'll measure the adjustments I made and duplicate them on the other side. Then I can put the wheels on, drop the car, and see how I like the ride height. I haven't tightened any of the collars on any part of the coilovers yet. When I feel like I've made all of my final adjustments, then I'll snug them up (with a screwdriver / hammer as Godspeed recommends).
