So....the wifey came up with a helluva good idea. I prolly shoulda run this by Chris first, but eh, who am I to go through the chain of command?

Anyway, we've been sitting here looking at a gigantic brush pile in our backyard and she came up with the idea of having a late september meet here at my place, complete with bonfire, eats, and whatever y'all wanna bring. We'll supply the wood for the fire, the meat for the cook-out, and one tiny lil grill. Think of it as a side-dish *** luck. Let's get some feedback....if anyone else is interested, lemme know, and maybe we can get a decent meet together before some of our cars are put up for the winter.

Worry not, I've got plenty of room for parking and if you wanna bring the kids, I've got things for them to do, as well. We do, after all, run a day care in our spare time...so we're used to a bunch of rug rats running amok in our yard and our house.

So let's hear it....who's in?

Heya Tim :thumb:

Jim (SHOracer14) was already planning a Cedar Point meet around the end of Sept/early October. Not sure what the latest is, but I'd hate to have conflicting events.

We're also putting together a tech event around Labor Day weekend out that way... guess I should update the event schedule :bonk:

This sounds good tho, I'd like to try and work it into the schedule :)

Hey I like this idea.

Do you have a garage or at least some shelter to work in?

well, kinda....unfortunatly, the garage is occupied by my old P.O.S. Cutlass (waiting for it to rust away) and a crap load of spiders. All my stuff gets done in and on the driveway....which would probably explain this letter from the E.P.A...............

I may be able to bring a 10'x10' EZ-up canopy if that would help...?
I have used to before for shade while working on my car in the driveway.

If it's shade you want, no worries...plenty of trees to take care of that. My car sees sun for about 2 hours a day...

I might be up for one of these ideas. But I"m on vacation in Oregon the 9th through the 17th of Sept. Then have our big focus fall g2g the weekend after. So for me it would be best if it were a Sunday or maybe Sat evening after that.
