Hey, you've got over 24 hours to prepare. Should be plenty of time to swap in an MTX. :naughty:

I have a MTX tray and hold down, but not the threaded rods and nuts.

I take it that bungee cords won't pass tech?

I never been to New England drag and I don't want to chance not being able to run my car because I have bungy cords lol. I actually have a battery hold down but I don't have the bolts for it.

They just grab the battery and give it a good shakedown. A ratchet strap isn't a bad idea, they're pretty strong. Bungees have more give and will allow more movement than straps though, so I wouldn't want to chance it with those. Probably depends a lot on who you get for an inspector.

Case in point- I mentioned my lightweight flywheel during tech on two different occasions. The first time, they guy couldn't give two ***** and passed me no problem. The second time, the kid asked me if it was approved by some organization or something. I had no idea what he was talking about, so I nodded and said "yes." Apparently I wasn't very convincing because he walked off to speak to one of his superiors about it. He still passed me, it just took longer. Moral of the story: keep your mouth shut during tech. :)
