2 intakes both bought off ebay......chipping and cracking right out off packaging....they didnt specify that the intake was for a 3.2 atx so i had to make and egr plate......also found that on the intake where some of the powdercoat was chipping off there were was grease and dirty fingerprints under the paint...also on a friends car despite the same chipping and bubbles we put the intake in and after 1 week the powder coat was all raised off the metal and cracking in alot of spots.....

Did you contact them? If so, what was his response? I hope that you left the appropriate feedback on eBay.

Ya, get in touch with them, maybe they'll work it out with you. Also why did you guys put the intake on the car when the powdercoat is peeling and bubbling? The heat from the engine will just make it worse.

We would very much appreciate if you would contact us and be sure to email us pictures of the problem areas because:

1. I do not belive you had even contacted us regarding this problem because it would have been remedied if what you said is actually true. We take immense pride in providing the best customer service. We are a family run business and as evident on eBay, we have over 99% customer satifaction. That is not to say that we are perfect, but we strive for perfection especially with how we treat customers.

2. All parts go through an extensive cleaning process which always removes grease and grime. (I'd really like to see pictures of where we coated over grease.)

2. Un gloved hands never touch parts prior to powder coating (Fingerprints in the grease under the powder coating, hmmm.... Again, please send me pictures.)

3. I'm truly sorry that we didn't mention that 3.2 intakes going on a 3.0 engine would need a block off plate. My only arguement is that it is difficult to always think and mention everything such as this in the auction. If you would have contacted us, we would have been happy to fabricate and powder coat the block off plate and ship it to you airmail delivery at no charge.

So ultimately, if what you said about the problems is true, it would have been very nice if you would have contacted us before posting this thread to give us the opportunity to remedy the problem. As for the dirty finger prints and coating over grease, those statements are something that I extremely doubt. I'd just like to see some proof of it.

Sincerely, Scott (owner)

Scott's very meticulous with his work. When he gave me a tour of his facility last year, I was blown away at the attention to detail in all of his stuff.

Mr95Gl, thank you for the kind comments.

We really do care about the quality of work that leaves our shop and we are always striving to become better at what we do.

So far we have not heard from the OP, so who knows what the story is behind this, but we just want to clear our name on this post so that others who read this thread don't get a bad taste or think we are some fly-by-night shop.

I will send pictures of the stuff that is left in bubble wrap that we never opened......and ON THIS intake they were NOT Meticulous. like i said there is grease and fingerprints under the coat.... the intake looks like garbage now....we put the intake on because we were in the midst of a 60k on the car and the old intake was taken apart(for the butterflies to swap) and dirty as ****, not to mention my friend wanted his car back together so he can drive it.....and remember this happened with 2 intakes i recieved.... the other intake wasnt as bad but they powdercoat right over machined gasket surfaces and you are forced to chip away at the paint so you have a clean surface and when you do that that the paint chips off the sides of the runners and tanks where the runners meet.....and not for anything but now they are on ebay charging 600 dollars for a 224.00 y-pipe.... i will post pictures soon

I had bought a set of Reflective chrome coated valve covers from Keystone about 3 years back for my 93'. Before I even got to put them on the car they cracked to **** everywhere when the outside temp dropped to 35 degrees. I never installed them I still have them in the original shipping box at my parents house. I was only in town long enough to prep the car for shipping so thats why I never got to remedy the problem. They do have some nice stuff for sale lately. I also agree about the powdercoated Magnaflow y-pipe selling for almost $600 I almost spit up my drink. They have some parts I would like to buy but I would have to call them first. Hopefully it all works out for ya.

so, one of the intakes he speaks of was/is mine.... I definitely didn't handle the situation correctly; my email correspondents with scott did not convey how ****** off I was....I had my car apart for like 3 weeks (first 60k), and just wanted to be done with it--so I put it on....but anyways, I did say that there was some peeling and cracking, and the intake was not for my car (wrong tranny) to his credit, he made me a plate, but never addressed the quality issue.....we were just reminded of this the other day, when I pulled out the UNOPENED butterfly assembly, and half of the powdercoat (on the flat gasket surface) flaked off in my hand (I will get pics of this asap)
I didn't handle the situation correctly, so that's my fault, but I definitely don't recommend the product.
