You can only put in a 5 digit code. No such thing as a 6 digit code. I think you are thinking of the 3 that comes after your code that will unlock all the doors. Putting the code in is like hitting the unlock button on your remote once. Hitting 3 on the keypad within 3 or 5 seconds is like hitting the unlock button twice. Hitting 5 on the keypad after the code will open your trunk. I like that, especially when I need to get into the car when my keys are not with me.dugdog99:
you'll have to look up under the dash on the drivers side. right above the gas pedal is a white box with a bunch of wires leading into it. you'll have to really twist around, but on the side facing the center console there will be a label with a 5 digit code written on it. this 5 digit code is the master code. put that code in, then you have like 10 seconds to put in your own 6 digit code. atleast that's how it is on my 98.
