Is It possible to run a Gen II's power windows the same way as the Gen III Taurus'? You know, when you still have power to the windows after the key is off and before opening the doors?
Is it just a module that integrates with the door pins or something? Anyone ever tried this?

never tried it but its a good idea. Those probably run off the same unit that allows your stereo to remain on after the car is off until the door opens. It may be an aftermarket part you can get from like JCWhitney or something. Good Luck

I figured out something different...

I got power to the windows at all times now. Very simple mod to do. The main incoming hot wire to the window switches is a Yellow w/ green wire. Cut it and take the wire and from the switch side and splice it to the green wire from the power mirrors connector. (If that's not the one just use a test light to find the 12 volt constant wire. I can't remember the exact color right now.) Don't forget to tape up the old "hot" wire that originally went to the switches.

Now you can have power to the window switches at all times. Both the windows and mirrors run on 15 amp circuits, so you should be ok, as long as you don't run all four windows and the mirrors at the same time.
