The other day the Gen III started leaking antifreeze. No problem, I thought. I raised the hood only to find the the water pump housing was leaking. Looked as if it had a stress crack on the back side. I took it apart today only to find that the new water pump from Rockauto failed. The impeller came off the shaft and wore a hole in the WP housing. ERR. I contacted them and they basically told me that they will replace the pump only not the housing.

What brand did you get? I just ordered one for my truck and I went with AC Delco. I hope you didn't buy an A-1 Carbone, they are garbage.

Yup, at the time I couldn't wait for the Delco or Bosch one. It was like a 5day wait to ship.

I installed the used housing about 2 weeks ago. Now one of the radiator hoses at the T just went! ERR!!! At least I have the SVT .
