just read this thread. hey Shotimer and Saleen SHO, don't let some idiot aggravate you. I've used this site many times and sometimes asked stupid questions but have always received positive feedback. I would have spent hundreds of dollars to get rid of my CEL changing all sensors when in fact I was informed just to clean the nostrils in intake (which fixed the problem on 93 ATX). hopefully these jerks sell their SHO, buy a Hyundia and never post here again. thanks to all your help guys.

1: New guy isnt an idiot

2: Sarcasim is ok (you folks do it all the time). Just cause a guy is new doesnt mean he can't be a bit sarcastic (out of frustration as we have all been there). Lets not start bashing folks for being sarcastic, unknowledged (if that is the case), or whatever.

3: You seasoned board folk should be able to ask about the yellow and red oil lights without coming across as patronizing or like a smart ass.

4: You new folk need to understand we get all types of goofballs on this board and its tough to figure out if a guy is serious (We actually had a guy adding Pepsi to the oil to clean out the motor and was dead serious as to why he was having problems).

Now back to the question: yes, you can get oil smell into the cabin. I get it when i'm following car's you would think are powered by coal cause they smoke so much.
In your case, it is enough of a leak that it is hitting something hot and burning. being you are having a low oil light, you have alot of leakage. Yellow light means 2 quarts (out of 5 1/2) left in the pan. Get a good look at the motor as you dont want a fire to start.

Check tranny fluid level and condition (red? brown? stinky?) to evaluate tranny.

Thank you F-22, SHO Timer, and Ishodu.

It's very amusing to me that every jack ass that responded with some ******** comment is newer to the board than me.

The only thing that you all seem to miss is that I am NOT NEW to the board. I have been coming to this board for nearly 3 years I just don't feel the need to post everyday because I can figure most things out on my own or by doing some simple research on this board or others. I have used this board and other SHO resources to do the 60k service as well as many other tasks on my car. The fact is that I've been on this board longer and driven my SHO longer than most of the dumb kids that feel the need to run their mouths on this board. I understand that there are more than enough **** offs in this world that would do dumb shit like add pepsi to their car to fix it but I am not one of them. I am also very aware of how to take basic care of my car so I don't need anyone to tell me to check the oil or any other nonsense.

I would not be posting on this board without at least doing some research first since most of the children on this board have nothing better to do with their time than run their mouths. Kids...I really don't care if you have 2,000 posts if their all as worthless s "find where the leak is coming from, and check your oil". When I was 20-21 I thought I knew everything too...

I don't mean to come off as a **** but really, if I do, then I am in good company.

Ok.....enough already. On topic stuff stays, off topic stuff is going bye-bye.

Edit: Just so everybody knows, this is directed at no one person in particular.
