More thinking of it as a safety considering the car has seen over 160 multiple times. I'd hate for a driveshaft failure. Gotta sacrifice some things in the name of performance! Plus maybe it'll weigh lessBe prepared for lots of vibrations with a one piece DS.
From others I've spoken with, it's not enjoyable. At all.

Never seen a failure honestly just know I'm pushing the limits of anything stockAre the DS in our cars known to be weak?
Can you elaborate on this? Is this specifically for our platform that others had issues with? If the driveshaft is balanced correctly, I can't imagine it being any worse than stock.Be prepared for lots of vibrations with a one piece DS.

Actually, a fellow who pushed his into the 170+ range in Germany said his DS went kaput. Was planning on having a one-piece CF one made and that's the last I recall hearing from him.Never seen a failure honestly just know I'm pushing the limits of anything stock
Appears to be one of the possible options. This looks to be the last of the DS convo: https://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php?topic=7592.msg115052#msg115052I remember that guy from Germany. His failed because of a seized carrier bearing, correct?

Besides that person (in Germany), there was one other here in the States that had his fail.
Those are the only two I can think of.
Problem with ours, is the sheer length of it.
From what I understand, the length alone is what was the primary, contributing cause to the vibrations of a single DS.

People don't understand how long our cars are until you work under it lol. The amount of exhaust pipe to make a true dual is around 30'. I'll see what his recommendations would be on it for sure. He's been doing driveshafts for a couple more decades than I've been alive and sounds like he does it as a hobby now a days more so than a source of income lol. One of those good ol boys.Besides that person (in Germany), there was one other here in the States that had his fail.
