So don't get me wrong, I know how to jack up a car and put a car on jack stands safely.. I'm just curious if there's a central point that's safe up front and/or back? I know there's the spot up front that seems like a normal central jacking spot sort of underneath the dust shield. Is that a safe spot for jacking? Just a quick peek under the rear tells me there isn't one in the back.. am I right?
I only trust pinch welds when I'm jacking up one corner or just using one stand, but are pinch welds safe to jack up an entire car? Using all 4 spots and 4 jack stands? Just looking for better spots on the car that are more outward. The spots on the frame get a little too close together and I feel like it's too tippy for my liking, especially when trying to lower the car back down.
If there isn't a central front jacking point, do you guys like to go side to side or front to back? My buddy and I have concluded it's more of a side to side car. If you jack up one corner fairly high the whole side lifts up. Would it be better to just do one side and then the other side?
Sorry for the multiple questions, but there isn't squat online for info about this, and the user manual only covers one spot (pinch welds) in case of a flat tire. No info on other jacking points. Thanks guys!
