I ordered this new from autozone for my 91 since I'm converting the a/c over to r134a... Rangerj has helped me along so far, but I wanted to verify this is indeed the correct a/c filter drier and orafice line. TIA. 1049326644305 NEW AC DRIER AND ORAFICE LINE

It looks correct for the drier line. The orifice tube is in the other line which is also available from AZ for about $25. Make sure you also replace it.

You will need to transfer over the pressure switch.

Also, be sure to pick up a complete set of O-rings with garter springs from AZ. I posted a list last summer, hopefully a SEARCH can find the list. MAke sure you replace every O-ring in the system while you have it apart. The red O-rings/seals at the compressor manifold were purchased from the Ford store. I could not find them aftermarket in the short time I had available to look.

Be prepared for a LOT of fun getting that lower hose connection apart on the old line. Not easy as I remember. OTOH, that one was easy compared to the two connections at the firewall.....

Steve thanks for the help... luckily the system is apart and all but one line is fused together yet. I already bought the ford conversion kit from O'reilys with all the o-rings and oil for 134. I need to purchase the manifold seals (the red ones) yet, do you have a part number? Also should I replace anything else besides the orafice line then while I'm at it? I've found a couple more hoses that I thought I'd price, but it's really hard finding the right ones. Also AZ site is down right now. Anyways thanks again and I'm pretty sure I'll have this a/c whipped into shape soon. I'm having a shop vacuum it out and prep it for closing the system back up so I don't screw it up. thumbs_u

OK here's the latest... I broke this hose tonight trying to seperate it from the drier line... it is one that goes to the copressor and has two of the 4 red o-rings attached. Any ideas on where and how much it'll cost me to pick one up? 1049341197153 broken ac line

Also can anyone verify the silver piece in this pic? The part # is FODH-19E574-AA... and also what hose this is? Can you still purchase the hose? 1049341197700 ac line plus weird silver piece shrug

My diagram is from an 89, should be the same as your 91.

My notes indicate the red o-rings are part # 390697S are were $.68 each from dealer.

The compressor manifold to drier hose has a base part number of 19E636 with a probable prefix of E9DZ and a likely suffix of -A. Partsvoice.com shows a place in TX has 6 of them. Price not given. www.partsamerica.com shows the MOtorcraft YF-2022 is available for $92.

The part in the lower right corner of the 2nd photo is the manifold and muffler Assy, Motorcraft # YF-1572 or base Ford # 19E574 with the same prefix and suffix as above. The part number you listed does not show up on the references I consulted, but thay are not 100% complete.

Try some of the other web sites. Some of these hoses should be available through the aftermarket with brand names of Factory Air, Murray, or Four Seasons, all of which appear to be the same parts under different brand names.

If you have an O'Reilly's nearby, they have a book from that company that has all the parts diagrams in it.

ACV,

As long as you are this deeply in the project consider removing the condenser (in front of the radiator) and have it pressure tested for leaks.

Check with your local parts stores for a chemical cleaning kit to clean out the condenser and the evaporator (behind the firewall). DO NOT CLEAN OUT THE COMPRESSOR. Just let it drain the R-12 oil. Also clean out the manifold lines, or in your case the one manifold line you are going to reuse.

Keep going, you're doing fine. rangerj

Actually this is an old post and tomm. I am finishing up my ac and adding the r134 finally... replaced all lines, installed new compressor, and swapped all o-rings. Glad the motor was out when I did it all; I'd hate to try it with it in. Thanks for the help all thumb
