Is this safe?

I have been using a variety of additives when I fill my gas tank. I use premium, and then add gas treatment, fuel injector cleaner, and octane booster. Although I am fairly sure that this can't hurt the car in any way, I just wanted to make sure.

Injector Cleaner: Fine. Won't hurt anything.
Gas Treatment: not necessary. most likely formulated to extend the gasoline's life in the event you are going to store the car.

Octane Booster: Unless you have a chip such as a superchip or hypertech chip, this is unnecessary and will, over time, harm your engine by allowing carbon to buildup through incomplete combustion.

In all, I think all you should do is use Redline fuel treatment every tank. There is no need to spend the extra money on everything else.

It's not necessarily damaging, but why?

Octane doesn't = horsepower

So just use the premium that is recomended for the car. It contains a lot of the additives that the octane booster and fuel injector cleaner do.

Also, an FYI: The injector cleaner and octane booster are nearly identical formulas. If you must use them, use one or the other.

I agree with what everyone else is saying, the octane booster really isn't needed on a SHO unless the compression ratio has been changed, e.g. supercharger. Also I you said you filled with premium gas then added the additives? Re-read the directions on the additives...almost all of them tell you to add the additives on an almost empty tank THEN add the gas.

Kinda funny that the name is SHOGun..hahaha..Anyhow I notice a big difference with performance after adding one of these at a tank fillup..The engine apears more peppy and snappy opposed to not adding it at the fillup.But then again w/ 145k on myengine anything would prob/ make the engine seem to respond better...
They have have that NOS gas additive too.Which seems to make a noticable difference.That stuff is like $12 a bottle though and not worth the money..Just my thought's..Later,MattyMac cheers cheers cheers

I generally don't bother spending the money on any additives for my cars unless it is absolutely necessary, like when the dumb gas attendant puts in regular instead of premium in my GLH. If I drive that car with a tank of regular and my MP computer, I'll no longer have an engine.

I have used this SHOGUN additive once in my grandparent's Ranger that was detonating REALLY bad when I borrowed it once. I bought this stuff because it was one of the cheaper ones on the shelf. Once I put it in the tank and drove around a bit, the detonation completely went away. I don't know where that tank of gas came from, but it must have been TERRIBLE!

This additive seems to work pretty well though...
