Does anyone know if the SuperChips brand J3 module that is for the D4U1 PCM is programmable & can be "retuned" or is it a permanent flash on the module?

I was thinking of sending it into Sho Source to have it reprogrammed but they aren't sure it can be done on that one, they're not familiar with it.

Does anyone know? Thanks

I doubt the chip is permanent, and is probably an EPROM, which can be erased and reprogrammed.
The real question is if it takes proprietary hardware or software to read or program.
Maybe someone on the board has experience with them...

I think the best place to get answers about Superchps would be FPS(Doug Lewis' shop) in Atlanta.

is it red or blue? iirc, the blue ones have a set tune, while the red ones can be reflashed. don't hold me to that, though. get ahold of doug at fps...he's the superchip chip guru.

We have a couple ways of programming. We do have the software to burn the chip. The question would be if it needs to be done a certain way. We can give it a try if you still want.
