Similar to what happens when you go full throttle, the a/c clutch disengages while driving randomly but will come back if I turn of the EATC and turn it back on.

I can not replicate this while the car is parked which makes diagnosing rather difficult. The 1991 FSM also does not specify a procedure for this symptom.

Has anyone experienced this? I thought it prudent to ask before throwing parts at the car.

I am sure it is not short cycling the system is full and leak free, the problem is electrical. It seems to be either the IRCM or the EATC, unsure without being able to put a meter on it while i drive.

Check your clutch air gap first. It might be disengaging mechanically due to excessive gap (> .030").

If not, you problem will be electrical, perhaps due to an intermittent connection or component. As far as potential components go, the EATC, the low pressure cycling switch, the IRCM module, and the clutch coil would be the most logical candidates.
