My '94 SHO ATX 3.2L A/C compressor clutch wiring harness has been cut. I think I found a replacement connector that I can solder back to the car wiring harness. This is a 2-wire connector and I ohm'd out which wire on the car wiring harness is Gnd/Neg, so the other wire must be positive and will be the switched/signal wire to control the clutch. Does the polarity matter to the A/C compressor clutch? I'd like to know if the positive must be connected to the top or bottom compressor terminal or the terminal nearest the spring clip on the connector.

I do not know these generation cars so I am going off my AllData wiring but, it shows for the 2-wire A/C Clutch Field Coil, black is negative, and black/yellow is positive. RockAuto should have the connector if you don't. The polarity generally does not matter. With no current, the clutch free spins, and with power, it locks the clutch.
