About a week ago I remember hearing my fuel pump prime a couple of times when the car was just sitting there with no key in the ignition. Last night when I went to start it, the battery was completely dead. I'm curious if anyone else has had a problem like this. I assume that the priming fuel pump is what killed my battery, because today I did a load test and charge test on the battery and alternator, and everything is fine. Also, the parasitic draw is only 7mA, which is really good. But when I was testing it, the fuel pump didn't come on at all either. I was just wondering where to start, or if anyone else has had a problem like this. Thank you.

Most likely, the IRCM is shorting internally.

Mine will do that if I get it wet and will run the fans when it should be off. I dry mine out and it's okay until the next time.

When I am breaking and I put the clutch in, it dies some of the time. Would this be another symptom of a bad IRCM? I pulled it off and stuck it inside for awhile in case there was some water/ice in it, but i couldn't figure out how to pry it apart without breaking it. Also, when driving sometimes the car jerks like the fuel is completely cut off or something.

Falure to maintain idle is often the IAC.

Bucking/jerking is often a symptom of a flaky CID sensor. If could also be the result in fuel pressure. Onaly a fuel pressure test would show for certain.

It was definately the IRCM. I put a new(junkyard) one in today and no more intermittant fuel pump. Also, you can only get the 'M' module out of a SHO. The regular Tauri have CB, J and K. I checked every single Taurus in U-Wrench-It to figure that out! :bonk:
