I searched and found no resolution to my SHO's problem. The problem is that my interior lights stayed on after I opened the door to get in and never turned back off. key in, key out, lights "on" position or "off", dimmer switch all the way up ("click"), or down, it doesn't matter the interior lights just dont turn off. I've tried all my door springs, and even another dimmer switch.
Please advise.
Thanks. ('95 MTX)

EDIT - Solved !

The Culprit: Drivers side rear door jam switch.

The Issue : The door jam switch looked fine, and even acted like "normal" but after removing it (and others first) the plugs were bent inside the broken female end. *Two minutes to replace.

Thanks.

-the switches are powered at all times thru the fuse to the i/p dimming rheostat. the lights also flow thru the illuminated entry module, located behind the back seat tray. . make sure you are allowing the 25-30 sec needed for the module to turn them off after activation. there are full diagnostic procedures in the service manual and/or the evtm that are lenthy to type, depending upon your symptoms. just follow them and hopefully you will track down the problem.
