Need a hand guys...

Installed a aftermarket tape deck and no the interior lights are all a no go...radio works perfectly.

Heres the catch it doesnt seem that any of the fuses are blown i havent pulled and checked them all yet... (i just noticed tonight and its hard checking fuses in the dark) BUT

The lights seem normal just on daytime..meaning nothing is "not working" like the cigarette lighter etc.... just everything isnt switching to nigthtime illlumination.

Any help you guys can steer my way i would appreciate.

Thanks

Brian

Why are you installing an aftermarket tape deck for anyway? But all I can guess is maybe your dimmer switck is turned down.

well the deck is a tape (which is useful for things as an audio interface with a tape adapter) but i have an mp3 cd changer under the passenger seat and XM sat as well...

Not the dimmer switch tried that....its like the car doesnt recognize the lights being on....very wierd the HVAC for example stays in daytime bright mode..if you fully cut on the dmmer switch the interior lights come on just like normal...the glove box is lit, the cigarette lighter works....

Anybody else?

Pull out every fuse and look in clear light. It is hard to rule out fuses when you have checked them all yet.

Do your dash lights work?

My guess is he is somehow supplying a full 12volts to the illumination wire behind the radio. If its two harnesses wired together, make sure the orange (or orange/white) are not connected or touching anything
