Thanks exactly what I was looking for!

So, the weak link is fuel, hence the meth injection being a pre-req to bigger turbos. Good info!

If one wanted to upgrade turbos and wasn't interested in eliminating the cats or changing the exhaust just for the sake of being louder, what parts would be advisable or necessary. Not really interested in the meth injection as this is a DD, never going to the track.

I've just upgraded the brakes to Powerslots and EBC Red
Soon to replace tires with either stock Michelin AS or Conti DWS

I was thinking the parts list might look like this:

Turbo upgrade (either stock or ATP)
2 1/2" pipe w/ cats
Hot Pipes
Tuner w/ tunes
Trans cooler
Oil Cooler
Airaid Intake

Sound about right? Anything else essential or highly recommended?
Anything unnecessary (i.e. intake)?
Pros/cons of stock vs. ATP turbo upgrade?
Would a 3 bar MAP sensor be required?
Plugs? Thermostat?

What power level might that equate to? Any reason these upgrades could not be done at home with ramps/jack stands and hand tools?

I recommend upgrading your fuel pump first before anything else, before even starting on other upgrades. Just get it done and working so there's plenty of room at the get-go.

Next, I recommend upgrading injectors to slightly larger flow (not huge), and also new spark plugs with a colder range. That alone will improve throttle response.

Then consider a bigger throttle body, air pipe, and air intake. Just the Airaid alone does nothing but with the other two items it becomes useful.

IMO, the stock turbos are not being pushed to their limits. After these other reasonable mods, I would next go with exhaust.

New turbos would be the last upgrade I'd recommend after everything else, not the first thing. I have a highly modified Mustang but my SHO is still stock. Principles are the same though.

Your list is on point, I would add meth injection as supplemental fueling for the turbos and you should be able to run around 425-450HP on your vehicle pretty easily.
I would suggest ATP as the whole center section is bigger which means it flows more CFM = cooler air compared to upgraded stockers. 16 psi on ATP makes as much HP as 21+ on upgraded stockers. 3 bar map is required, I would also make sure to gap plugs down to .030, stockers are fine and I would also suggest a 170 t-stat.
I can offer you a full package if you want to purchase all of the items at once.

He already said he wants a DD, not an acronym-filled sales pitch. Does self-promotion require sponsorship on this forum?

Hmm, the car will work fine with those mods as a DD. I'm sorry that the performance world requires acronyms and from my understanding there's no requirement for sponsorship on the forum.
You also suggested that he upgrade his fuel pump, I'm the only one that can offer that upgrade right just FYI. You can't upgrade injectors either, not an option.
I hate to say it but you're giving him bad advice, I have quite an extensive background with modding these vehicles and selling parts for them, besides selling parts I'm happy to help with info and that's why my forum exists.
Sorry you're upset with my information.

I thank everyone for their advice! Not quite ready to do all this, but want to explore the possibilities before deciding on a game plan.
