Ok I welded my cams last night and cleaned up my IMRC's and everything. Today i decided i would just delete the Plates and the rod's. I took everything apart, i got some JB Quick and proceeded to fill in the holes. That did not work. I got all the holes filled in but ended up getting it all in the runners. So I just spent about an Hour getting all that crap back out and polished the inside of the runners. Question is. Would it be ok to just install the rods but leave the plates off? I was thinking they may leak or worse the rods would end up coming out. So if I cant leave the rods in and the plates off then can someone explain how they did it with JB weld? Also on the bottom side of the IMRC plate there are 2 flat head screws that have a spring and ball inside there. What is this for. All I could tell it was for was to keep the inner rods from being able to be taken out. Well i think i may have misplaced the 2 springs somehow. I still have the balls and the screws. What do i do? Car has to go back together tomorrow!
