95 atx,no codes, run's then the idle drop's and it sounds like the intake is going wide open.driving the car run's like its starving for air or fuel.sitting at a light the car surges if your not ready it will drive you into the car in front of you.new=MAF,VSS,EGR,Plugs, wires, ats, all vac lines, icv, all egr support elec, new intake hose's,new gasket's,rod bearing, crank sensor, cam sensor, timing belt, surges and buck's and die's sometimes if I keep touching the gas pedal rapidly i can keep it going. This was happing before I did all of this.with the key on i can hear the fuel pump cycle.I'm going to change the fuel filter in the morning .:oogle:

Agreed. unplug the IAB...if the car dies, you at least know that it's closing all the way.

Thanks.........Hey Bill got to use you tools again.I'll give this all a try.By the way I would like to post the Z-24 hood vent job you suggested but can't upload any pictures.......I'm old and slow but I didn't forget'''''''''One more thing when I said I could hear the fuel pump cycle with the key on,it keeps cycling on and off with the key on engine off.Is this correct or do I have a issue?

I third the IAB/IAC (same thing). It sounds like it's sticking open, which would cause surging at idle.

Iab

A few forum members claim that the IAB can be cleaned. With my experience on my SHO, cleaning my IAB is not the best solution. I decided to buy a new one from Motorcraft after having all the described bad symptoms at idle. Since then, everything is running fine. Good Luck.
