I know absolutely nothing about vehicles.lol i just bought a 93 sho and it runs good but it seems like the rpms are running to high.at idle its like 1000 rpm and at 60mph its around 3000 which feels high to me.is it not shifting into overdrive?

There is a servo that controls overdrive on the automatic transmission. The clip sometimes becomes detached and you lose overdrive. It is accessible from the outside of the transmission and is covered in detail in a great number of threads on this forum.

The idle is a little high, but not out of range. There is a procedure to reset the idle that may help.

Both of your issues are very common and there is lots of help on this forum for these topics.
