Ignition Pickup?

I sold my buddy an 89 with 97,***
has running issue worse when warm.
he had it scanned and was told it is the Ignition pickup?
would that be the crank sensor?

Does it stall out when warm? Sounds like it could be a Crank sensor. Check the codes yourself. Look in my sig for directions. Let us know what you find out.
