Hi Guys,

I have a 95 SHO ATX, it started to loose power, then finaly quit. The way it acted I thought maybe it was a fuel problem. After looking more closely I found that the right half of the coil pack was not firing. Before I start buying parts, can anyone give some insight as to what it might be.
Thanks in advance.

hmm... well, coil packs do get old. I haven't heard of any to fail, but any part that does something is liable to stop doing that something. If you lose spark on half your cylinders it would certainly cause power loss!

Replace the coil pack. OEM, or Aftermarket.

Good luck! :thumb:

Find a known good DIS module and try that first... then find a coil pack and try that out.

Ignition Issues.

Thanks Jason,

I wasn't sure weather to start with just replacing the coil, or if there was an underlying problem that could cause the coil pack to not operate properly.
Thanks for the info.

Also, I spent my tour of duty in Norfolk, aboard the Concord AFS-5. We lived in Portsmouth and made the commute each day to ***. A lot of good memories of that area.

Make it a great One,

ShoJockey:) :)
