Idling Woes

I reset my computer a couple days ago and I let it idle for about 2 mins, and then drove home. The next day (today), I get in the SHO to drive around and I am experiencing wild idling. Expecially when I would shift out of first into neutral, the tach would bounce from 900rpms, down to 500rpms, back up to 800rpms and almost die. If I didn't give it gas, it would have definetly died. I kept on seeing the oil light come on of course when the idle drops that low. After I parked it and let it sit, it idled fine. Right around 900rpms, but when I blipped the gas up to 3Krpms really quick, it would drop faster than normal down to 500rpms, then up to 600rpms, then die. Is it my computer just trying to relearn it's idle? Sorry for the long post. Thanks.

It sounds like your computer is just trying to relearn the idle. After I installed my 80mmMAF and LPM, it took a couple of days for my idle to really settle back down.
If it doesnt settle back down, try cleaning the IAB.

The EEC only learns the idle loads in the first 70 seconds after the initial engine start after the RAM has been lost. After that, it no longer cares to accept any new information. You may want to try the reset again. If this doesn't work, the symptoms you listed desribe an IAC valve that is not responding properly to the EEC's signals.

1) Disconnect the negative battery terminal or EEC keep-alive power connector.
2) Turn on the headlight switch (N/A if EEC keep-alive power connector was unplugged).
3) Wait at least 10 minutes.
4) Turn off headlight switch (N/A if EEC keep-alive power connector was unplugged).
5) Reconnect the negative battery terminal (N/A if EEC keep-alive power connector was unplugged).
6) Start engine normally (never press on the gas pedal).
7) Allow idle speed to settle for at least 15 seconds.
8) Within 70 seconds of starting the engine, apply all accessory loads the engine will see at idle. Do these concurrently.
8a) Climate control to MAX A/C.
8b) Headlight switch ON.
8c) slowly and repeatedly turn steering wheel 1/2 turn side to side.
8d) Press brake pedal.
8e) ATX SHOs only: shifter to DRIVE.
9) Do not turn off engine for at least 5 minutes.
10) It is preferable that the car be driven immediately after setting the idle programming.
11) While driving, allow the coolant temperature to rise to the normal range.
12) Run the car through its entire performance range.
