Ok, so tonight I was drivin my 91 SHO MTX out of the parking lot of my work. As soon as I went over a speed bump I heard a pop, I went another 50 ft. and then my car started reving up and the rpm's wouldn't come down, and I wasnt even pressing on the gas. Now when I start it, the engine idles kind of on and off for a few seconds then it revs up to about 5000 rpms and stays there. When I looked under the hood i found one of the hoses had cracked so I cut off the end and it should work fine now. I think it was the tube to the PCV or somthin like that. Another thing is that I had not the timing belt, but the other 2 belts changed. I donno if that has anything to do with the proble or not. Anyways I was wonderin if anyone else had this problem or knows what it can be.

-Thanks
Joel

Do you have a bad front motor mount? When mine was 'very' bad, it made the clunk and it ended up bending the bracket which holds the accelerator cable in place. It hit the strut tower I believe and got the cable stuck at redline. Hope this is your problem, real easy to just bend back.
