i have 93 atx sho. it starts and idles fine but when you rev it up when it comes back to idle it dies. or when im driving it when i come to a stop it dies. any ideals? and the tach only works above 3000 rpm it sticks at 3000. what could cause this? Thanks for any help!

Does it start easily, or does it take a couple of tries?
If you borrow a scanner, (or read the codes with paperclip, and count the pulses of your engine light) there is a code buried in there that explains the problem.
Might be throttle position sensor (TPS), the idle air bypass (IAB) or a number of other things, but the code will steer you in the right direction.
