this started about two weeks ago... but it is really starting to bother me...

I know usually it should idle about 1k RPM in neutral....

but at times... with the engine warm or cold it will idle at 1600-1800 RPM.... it seems kinda random though so i don't know where to start... it could be right at start up ... or sitting at a light after driveing all day... I try to rev the enigne a bit to see if maybe the throlle cable has gotten stuck but it levels off at that high RPM

Even when it does this if I just drive as normal few a few moment it will idle where it usually does at 1k...

I checked to see if it was throwing any codes and it isn't so the ECM isn't seeing anything wrong or just not remebering it did..

any ideas??

EDIT: I should prolly add that at times (maybe once every5 days or so) it is hard to start I dunno if that has anything to do with it and the car does have 137K on it.. .is there anything I should look out for?

These symptoms sound characteristic of a misbehaving idle air control valve. You can try to clean it first or replace it if no joy from the cleaning.

The idle air control valve is just past the throttle body going to the intake. Look at the intake picture above, it's cylindrical with an electrical connector on the end before the intake runners. Look on shotimes faq for the cleaning procedure.
