i took the negative cable off and hold the brake for couple of seconds to get all the power out and after 2 minutes put the cABLE back and drove the car.

does your sho have underdrive pulleys. Mine does and i have the same problem occasionally. Mostly when it's cold outside.
I think with mine the engine is not able to rebound because of the pulleys. I 've got the 8lb flywheel idon't think that helps any either. Maybe we've got the same problem and can both get a solution to the problem

You didn't reset the idle program with that method. You need to disconnect the battery, turn on the headlight switch and wait a good 15 minutes. After turning off the headlight switch and reconnecting the battery, start the engine. Allow the revs to come down a little over the first 10-15 seconds after starting. Now, within the first 70 seconds since the key was turned, add all of the accessory loads that the engine will see at idle: climate control to AUTO, headlights to ON, steering wheel turned side to side and brakes applied. Do all this within that first 70 seconds to teach the EEC the range of loads the IAC valve will have to compensate for. By not adding any loads, you didn't give the EEC a chance to see the range of travel the IAC valve will have to cover to bear the load from all the accessories. Send your engine back to school.
