Idle Air Control Valve

My '98 with 38k miles is idling high from time to time. I realize that this is perfectly normal during start-up but it seems to be happening more often as time goes on. It's most noticeable after driving across town to say McDonald's and while sitting in the drive-thru it will idle high as if I just started it up. After about 10-15 seconds it goes back down. Could this be the start of an Idle Air Control Valve problem?

You might try taking it off and cleaning it with carb cleaner.
