I can agree with all that is said about the comfort levels of the GenIII SHO 100%. The seats are about as well designed as any higher market share vehicle on the road today. I recently underwent a procedure for removing a 14mm kidney stone from my left kidney (lipotripsy to be exact). For over a week I was having to be shuttled around in various cars and trucks, one car was a 2005 Toyota Corolla se, and I found the seats were like only there as some kind of clothladen chair, upright and uptight with very few controls to customize for a pleasureable ride and were just plain harsh. My Wifes Expedition, even with Eddie Bauer package, it has some nice tall high-backed buckets up front and they are leather, but you kind of just sit up on top of the seat bottom with not much to cradle your body. The same holds true for my Bro-in-Laws brand new Dodge truck Laramie, nice leather but like riding on a made over rustic bucket, Just no depth to the seat, not to comfy on a long haul I would think.
The seats in the GenIII SHO seem to craddle the driver from side to side with soft leather and the lumber support adds to the comfort level like icing on a cake. Believe me, if you ever had back trouble, you can still drive our cars and be comfortable for many many miles.
I got off work this morning after working a 12hr night shift, my back was killing me,and my left kidney is still in shock and cramping and fatigued, but the wonderful thing is, is when I opened my car door and slid behind the wheel, I thought, ahhhhhh here is the relief I have been waiting for all night long. Someone got it right when they designed that seat.
Just one more reason to Love your V8 SHO.
