it works backwards! off is full power, low blows high and high blows low :S
i took the hard button faceplate from the Lincoln aswell but left the guts, hopefully not dumb idea?

ultimately i just need to invert the signal, but is their an easier way? im not to electrically genius.

this was my first trip to local you-pull-it yard, i got 3 blower controls from various cars and a faceplate for $25, i think its a good deal. the other one was from a gen 1 sable i think, it looks VERY similar looking to what RCM lists but has 5 wires not 3. the 3rd control is of no use, gen 3 Taurus no EATC. no SHO's there or gen 2 sables.

i remember reading somewhere about using a mk8 eatc in taurus and needing to change something, but i only think i read this.

this is the last 'big' thing to fix to get the SHOwagon 'perfect' then charge the A/C and fix my gas gauge (just the wire came apart somewhere)

This is more complicated then just plugging it in...i did it about 2 years ago, you have to use a newer climate control from i believe a 93 up taurus, you have to un solder the ribbon cables from both EATC's which will enable you to remove the face plates. You have to solder the Lincolns face plate to the taurus' EATC electronics.

I got a lincoln unit same as op and even though all the plugs were same as far as shape and size, the wires had diff pin positioning within the plug, but all works normal except the blower speed switch is opposite for hi/low speeds. That switch has only 2 wires and it's own connection to the circuit board, so That alone could be changed, but I didn't as it was no big deal for me as is.

I originally flipped my fan switch upside down to correct the problem, but i had other issues that would not allow it to work correctly. I just dont recall them at the moment.
