its a great station, they also play Car talk with Click and Clack the tappet brothers along with some other great shows like a prairie home companon and talk of the nation.

The blues and jazz they play at night is great, I remember driving from Tucson up to phoenix one night just zoning out and listening to it, was an awsome time.

I enjoy the after hours music they play also. I'm getting kind of tired of the whole rock, rap, country western scene. Well that just about does it! I'm old now.:laugh_ti:

Tom, as long as you change the station when "Splendid Table" comes on we'll still hang with ya. ;)

nah you just have a more sophisticated taiste in music,

**** I'm 23 and hate a lot of that stuff, I just listen to a few good classic bands/artists throughout the years and find interesting stuff with some actual talent to listen to as fill ins.

some radio stations around here play certain types of music only at night on a certain day or play whole albums straight through... better then the regular grind for sure, radio these days with anything new is GARBAGE!

To be honest whenever I scan across the radio dial all I ever hear is PCD, Rihanna, Britney or Christina.

I prefer to listen to talk stations, but in the US they seem either to be completely right or left wing.

Any suggestions for a good talk station, especially late in the evening?

Rav.

P.S. Is it sad that I know who PCD, Rihanna, Britney and Christina are?

My source for relaxing/zone-out music. I'm not quite a huge jazz listener, but I have some nice ambient/chill that will turn long stretches of freeway into your own little heaven.

They have A LOT of stations, if you have broadband, check it out. 96kbps stream if you have winamp.

Classical, smooth jazz, modern jazz, and just about every other genre of music you could imagine. If they could find a way to pipe these stations into my car, I'd really be in heaven.
