As the post says I did this following the directions on shotimes. It's very easy to do in under 10 minutes and I'd definatly recomend it.
It lets me run my fog lamps with just the parking lights on, and with the highbeams on.

If the switch was like mine, all you have to do is splice two wires together like they say in shotimes. No parts necessary except some minor wiring tools. Just follow the instrucions. Quick and easy.

Thats right Jeremy, it's very easy and requires no parts. All you need is a wire stripper/cutter, and then follow the directions on shotimes.

Here are the directions from Shotimes:

FUNCTION OF MODIFICATION

To allow the fog lights to function with only the parking lights on, but also leaving the fog lamps hooked up to the autolamp (automatic turn on/off feature), and parking lights on, warning chime.

Note the fog lamps will not self turn off when high beams are turned on?This may not be legal in some states.

ORIGINAL TOP TO BOTTOM ORDER OF WIRES CONNECTED TO FOG LAMP SWITCH

1. BLUE/ RED STRIPE
2. BLACK
3. RED/ BLACK STRIPE
4. YELLOW
5. EMPTY

FUNCTION OF WIRES

1. POWER FROM PARKING/DASH LIGHTS
2. GROUND
3. POWER FROM HEAD LAMPS
4. POWER TO FOG LAMPS
5. EMPTY

MODIFICATION MADE TO FOG LAMP SWITCH

1. Remove the fog lamp button on the dash, using a thin flat screwdriver or butter knife. Note the wires connected to the back, they should correspond to the original list of colors and functions above.
2. Cut the 3rd wire from the top (power from head lamps), leaving about 2 inches from the back of the fog light switch. The cut wire coming from inside the dash (power from head lamps) should be taped, covered, or capped some how, as not to allow the metal tip to touch any thing causing a short. This wire becomes live when the head lamps are on.
3. Now cut the 1st wire (power from the parking/dash lamps) again leaving about 2 inches from the back of the fog light switch. Be careful the wire coming from inside the dash is live when the parking/dash lights are on, so keep the lights off and/or cover it temporarily once cut.
4. The cut 1st and 3rd wire attached to the fog light switch need to be stripped about ½ an inch from the cut tip.
5. Now the 1st. wire coming from inside the dash (power from parking/dash lamps) needs to be stripped and spliced to attach to the 1st wire still attached to the fog light button and also to the 3rd wire still attached to the fog light button (originally power from head lamps).
6. Once the 3 wires are spliced together, tape them up or cap them, and check for proper operation. Check all combination of parking lamps, fog lamps, head lamps, and high beams.
7. If everything checks out and works properly just pop the fog lamp switch back into the dash and enjoy.

***Note the only tape that should be used is insulated electrical tape.***

Its just a cool look when its dusk, theres enough light to run with no lights, and dark enough to run with your parking lights, I dont know, its just a fettish to me, I like the looks of cars running with their parking lights, and or with fogs and parking lights. Then when its just dark then run with your headlights, but you have to keep your fogs on no matter if it is a clear night.

I just got done with this mod a few minutes ago. It took me a while because my idiot friend who was supposed to help me started snipping wires when I was making a snack run... so yeah, it took me about an hour. He basically skimmed over the directions and started making guesses. Frickin idiot.

Yes, it is an excellent mod. As far as the fish tanks, I want to put yellow LED lights in mine. I have the 194na bulbs in them now.
