Just curious if any of you would put N20 on a 200K mile SHO or just wait until it ***** the bed and do it to a 3.2L?

I've done all the 60K tune-ups, the trans is good, and the clutch is good. My car is in pretty good shape.

I'm thinking maybe a 50-75 shot by the end of the year would be nice.

Some people are saying I should to the rod bearings, but it's ran this good for so long, I'd hate to mess something up by doing that.

DO YOUR ROD BEARINGS. It is not hard and you will eventually spin a bearing if you don't. otherwise 50-75 shot all day long baby!!!

Now that would be some SHIT! I could have used it on a GS-T I raced the other night.

As for the bearings, if I end up getting NAWZ, I'll do them.

or you could just throw that puppy in the mail, ship it to michigan and let it go to good use. to the OP, stop beating around the bush and change your bearings. it's pretty simple, and reasonably cheap, and best of all, easier and cheaper than swapping an engine due to rod bearing failure.

200k with up to date MX is not an Issue. Autolite 3923 Copper Plugs, 155 LPH Pump with ZEX Kit 82011 dry Nitrous Kit is all you'll need. Throw in the 75 shot jets and have at it.

this may be a stupid question but where do you get the tank filled, and how long does a full tank last

remember to have it properly tuned. otherwise you will lean out and that is never good.

Call around to different local speed shops to find one who fills nitrous bottles. Last I checked it's about $50 per fill in my area.

How long the tank lasts is a factor of the size of the tank, and how big of a shot you use. The 82011 Zex kit comes with a 10 lb bottle, and the manual says that the 55 shot should last for about 3 minutes, if I recall correctly. So, the 75 shot should last roughly 2 minutes.

If you use the Zex kit and a small shot, you do not need to get your car tuned. Just don't bump the rev limiter or you COULD lean out then.

what exactly do you define a small shot as, is 75 small?

Out in front!
^yes any stock (loose term every SHO should have at least a 155lph fp and up to date maintenance) SHO can handle a 75 shot . Anything over a 100 shot is a little bit tricky but not near as hard as you may think. 150 is about perfect.

Yes. A 75 shot, which is the largest included in the kit, does not require any tuning. You can jet the Zex dry kit for more (I think Brian is doing that on his green bastard drag 91+), but I think that's when you need some tuning. Literally everything SHOspazz92 said is all you need to run a 75 shot.
