Did you use a clutch alignment tool with the disk before you tightened down the pressure plate? Maybe it's a bit off. That will make the trans way hard to put back in.

Well no one in town had one, so I used a deep socket.. 13 mm i think.. biggest one that would fit, so its centered within a millimeter or so.

Ok.. had a bigger friend over to push the motor for me, and from the looks of it the bracket for the p/s pump is hitting the main harness connector to the ecm. Sooooooooo I'm taking that off and seeing what that does. I can feel it now with someone holding it that i'm for sure all over that hole in the clutch, just not back far enough. Jackin up the tranny a bit higher helps a lot too. I feel better about it now.. just gotta pry that damn bracket off now.. :) good thing im skinny or I woulda had to pull that damn thing out again.. lol

Another thing I thought of. I pushed the clutch in once when it was really close, and it re adjusted itself on the way back up. (pedal that is) Is my TOB going to be sticking out a bit farther now if I dont disconnect the cable? I cant see it at the moment, but by feeling inside it seems to be sitting out farther on the 'INPUT SHAFT' . lol
