When you hook an amp onto another one, do you have to buy another amp installation kit? Also is it easy to do this? I don't want to pay more money for somebody to hook my amp up again.

I'm assuming you are gonna use pass through RCA jacks from one amp and run them to the other amp? Even if this is the case, you still need to run a power wire to your new amp as well as a remote (you can splice the remote wire) and ground wire. Don't splice your power wire...just get the monster cable battery clamp or a distribution block and run the wires from that. Either way you are probably looking at another full amp installation kit.

I agree to an extent... Using the RCA jumpers off of another amp is the easiest way to get RCAs to your new amp. Splicing the remote wire from your headunit is also okay. You don't have to run a whole new wire from your battery to power up this new amp. Use distribution blocks to (in essence) splice the wires for you. Keep in mind, there is going to be much more resistance in the line when you power up this second amp. Usually if you're running 500-600+ watts, you're going to want 4 guage wire coming from your battery, then this wire can be distributed to up to (4) 8 guage wires. Do this for both your power and your ground. Make sure that your power and ground guages match. Don't use 4 guage power with 8 guage ground... You don't want to start any fires!

Define "hook an amp onto another one". I assume you want to add a second amp to run a seperate set of speakers? You should buy a distribution box for the positive wire coming from the battery to split it to multiple amps. You will also have to buy (unless you already have) an active crossover to seperate the high, medium and low (or just high and low, etc.. depends on what you wanna spend) to go to the amp(s).
